Companies House is an executive agency which is part of the Department for Business and Trade. The main purposes of Companies House is to incorporate and dissolved limited companies, examine and store company information as well as make information available to the public. They prioritise making the register as complete and accurate as possible and provide high quality company registration and search.
Within the Know-it platform, you can access records from Companies House with ease. This feature is only available if you have connected your ledger. To access this feature log into your Know-it account to the home page, where you have two options to access this data.
Option 1
Use the sidebar to navigate to “Check-it”
Then click “Companies House” from the dropdown:
You will be brought to the Companies House Files page which displays all the companies in your ledger and from here you can click the file icon to access the Companies House records:
Here you can download and view the official Companies House file:
Option 2
You can also access Companies House information by selecting “My Companies” in the side bar.
Here you will be brought to the company page and you can select the “Companies House” tab along the top navigation bar.
All records are available here to download and view anytime by clicking the file icon.
The same as option 1, you will see any Companies House records
